Playing in Shadows & What 2 know about me!

The other night I was hanging with my girls after school and randomly decideed to do a quick impromptu photo shoot in the parking lot!  Actually got some good night light with the lights in the garage and how they played against the shadows and all.  We had music playing and were really feeling it.  These pics still could have totally went better if this were planned.  I would have prepared and probably would have showed you some real cool pieces I have that I haven't had the time to share.  But you got me raw and in my everyday fly element.  You also got me after rehearsal, after I've been dancing and sweating.  It was also humid as alls HELL in the Tri-State area this week, so my hair couldn't even survive the fierciest of blowouts!!!  So I think I look like a hot mess, but I am going to share anyway because I think the pictures looks somewhat cool!  Tell me what you think!!!  Hope u like it!!!!

Green with Envy!

Look at this cute, easy to do, easy to add to your wardrobe blazer.  I love a good Blazer and one that isn't black is even more than a plus.  Not only that, but when you can get it for $1.99 at my local Red, White and Blue!!!  Its even better!  Thats exactly what happened in this situation.  I went into my Red, White and Blue early in the a.m to get first dibs on todays easy pickings.  I came across 3 Blazers in different colors all for a $1.99!!!  Easy right?  Yes!  If you enjoy going through racks and racks of jackets.  Searching for those bigger sizes that look somewhat special.  I happen to enjoy it and I LOOOVEEEE when I can find a good buy, or one of a kind item.  I urge you all to go into your local Goodwill's or Salvation Army and go on a hunt!  U will never know what you might find and you'll enjoy it!  Even better a cool ass jacket or bomb-ass dress that has a story of its own and probably still has some life left in it!  So give it a whirl, you never know what you might find.

Black & White and Comfortable!!!

I went into Manhattan yesterday to support my friend Darius dance in a Alvin Alley Show!!!  I wanted to find something (A) Warm (B) comfortable (C) Dressy!!!  I had this black knit dress with a hint of a checkered black and white pattern since last winter.  I wore it a couple times but when I stumbled across it in my closet yesterday, I told myself that it would sooooooo work with with some tights and those easy 2 go 2 Dolce VIta, for Target boots.  It was getting cold here in the North East, in fact lately its been very rainy and cold, so I set out on my adventure wearing my Lane Bryant Queen Collection coat and a umbrella.  However of course I left the Umbrella on the Train.  In fact its the second time this week I did that!  UGH!!!
Now I'm umbrella less!!!!  I hope you like it!  Black and White is like my thing right now.

LATELY!

Lately I've been really into trying 2 find myself all over again. Taking deep breaths instead of getting angry and being thankful 4 the little things! These brand new actions came about because I was deep with stress. So lately I've been taking walks by myself in different borough's of NYC exploring all I can on foot and as far as the little Metro Pass would take me. Just taking the sights and sounds in and getting lost in it all. Allowing myself not 2 think 2 much and allowing myself 2 exist in the moment. Why I am saying all this is unknown 2 me! Just something I had 2 release!

Through my travels in Brooklyn I went to Re/dress NYC!!! I got some AMAZING pieces there. (Nothing like shopping to cheer you up) As soon as I style them I will show you ,promise!!! The dress I bought tho' might have to wait a while... For the right occasion! This is what I wore that day. Some self pics until later that night but you get to see how I turn an outfit from day to night!!! At the time I thought it was clever!

M.I.A. and What I Wore!!!!

Hey beautiful people!!!  I hope your enjoying the crazy weather.  Recently I went to a M.I.A. concert at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia.  It was my second time seeing the colorful and political underground Pop Starr!  Yeah, she's all that.  Me and my childhood friend Crystal went to the show and had a blast!!!  You really dance your ass off when you go and see M.I.A.!!!

From the moment M.I.A. and her dancers hit the stage the whole entire venue started jumpin!  Including us! She had this sick white and black gentlemen's suit on!  With poka dots at the crotch.  But she was covered up, didn't show any skin (like she did when I previously saw her in Baltimore) but she still popped her botty and got down with her bad self.  M.I.A. really knows how to command a stage.  We were all in awww!

I think this before she staged dived and after that a stage hand came out and gave her a whole bottle of Patron!!!  She took a swig and handed to someone in the audience!  The crown needlesstosay went nuts!

Meanwhile back at school!  I am busy rehearsing for our musical, "Into The Woods"!!!  Its gonna be great but my hours are seriously long!  Going to see M.I.A. was a stress reliever and such a treat!  It was needed!
