HISTORICAL GAY PRIDE!!!!

This past Sunday I was where boys kiss boys, girls kiss girls, and the trannys shut it down!  I'm talking Pride baby!  A historical pride at that, being New York has passed the ammendment that gays can legally marry!  People were celebrating all weekend, but when me and my friends tried to get off the Christopher st, NJ PATH stop and couldn't we knew right then and there, that this was going to be Epic!  And Epic it was.  Crowded, and sticky like any other summer New York day, but everywhere u looked there was a rainbow!  Promising us all that our civil rights will be upheld and respected.  Glitter, dancing, body paint and same sex make out sessions wasn't too far around the corner.  My cousin overwhelmed with joy cried!  And my little queer friend Jess made out with guys and girls all over the Village!  I just sat back enjoyed it all, took pics, and documented this historic event to share with my readers!  Enjoy and WERK!

LATELY...

(1) Lately I've really been enjoying my summer!  Spending it in Jersey City and NYC, going 2 concerts,open mics and dancing!  Its been a pretty dope summer so far!  Just want someone to share it with.  Anyways, thats another story.  One of my many goals this summer is to see some broadway musicals.  My top 4 are Catch Me if You Can, Sister Act, The Book of Mormon, and Memphis!  So Yesterday to my surprise when my friend Amanda told me that she got free tickets to go see Catch Me if You Can I jumped 4 joy!!!  Me and my cousin quickly hopped on the train to meet her in Manhatten for the big event!

We waited around afterwards to get the cast to sign our playbills!  It was amazing, nothing do I love more than live theatre!  Great live theatre at that!  Please go and see it, you won't be dissappointed!

(2) Lately I've been obsessed with the show Single Ladies on VH1.  Its an hour long urban drama that takes place in Atlanta!  Its stars Stacy Dash from Clueless fame and I'm the most eager to rush home and see that!  Stacy Dash still looks amazing btw!

(3) Recently I've discovered my new obesseion (a.k.a. new best friend) and thats Ellie Goulding!  My homeboy Heat put me on to her, and OMG she's amazing!  She's like a more commercial BJORK and I do love Bjork!  She's coming to the Electric Factory in Philadelphia in July and I am sooo in there!  Go get her album lights!  Check this out!

(4) Lately I've seen recent pics of Raven Simone and Jordan Sparks, they went form thick to sticks!  Well Jordon Sparks isn't a stick :)  But now Raven Simone looks damn near identical to Nicole Richie!  And Nicole Richie is like a style Icon to me!  WOW, all of that is soo NOT Raven!

(5) I've also obsessed with my toes lately and shopping for sandals to adorn my feet!  I wear an 11 thought!  Can u feel my pain?  And the constant hunt I must take!

(6)  Last but not least Im definitely on the hunt for a birthday dress!  My birthday is next month and I just gotta find the right one!  If any of you have any suggestions!  I'll take them!

Poetic Fridays!

This past Friday I went to a nice hip little spot in Jersey City called Grassroots!!!  Its a community center that offers a lot of classes whether it be art or dance here in Jersey City!  Its like 15 min out of NYC and totally accessable from the NJ PATH train, if your in the area please check it out, heres the link http://grassrootscommunityspace.com/ical/month.php.  So on this particular friday I went on out for a open-mic/poetry slam!  It was great entertainment to say the least!  I took some pictures while walking around in some warehouse parking lot and wrote a poem about my weekend!  A weekend filled with me catching this God for awful summer cold, arguing, and arguing!  I hope u enjoy it and I hope u had a better weekend than me!

Black & White Days

Sometimes u just feel a little blah!  I'm sure you ladies have felt that way.  That's exactly how I was feeling one day this past week and pulled my friend Justice out the house to walk around downtown Jersey City with me.  We strolled around drinking coffee and eating spanish food.  Soon I was feeling a little bit more like myself.  I'm not really sure what it was, maybe I was so anxious to be out of school for the summer and now I am dying for something to do!  Like, boredum set in.  Its the artist in me!  Sometimes all you do is crave 4 a break to just have time for yourself and then you have that itch to constantly do something and be apart of something great!  Its a fustrating dynamic.  One I would like to get more control of in the future and appreciate both times in my life, working or chilling, and just find joy in those moments.  I guess the summer will give me time to find that and reconnect and be a little bit more creative!  And of course spend more time on my blog!!!
