Hello March: Me and my Panel leggings welcome u!

Last month I didn't have a lot of posts mainly because I was busy working on and performing my play!  What a blast!  What a blessing!  What a time, man!  Sometimes I feel like I spread myself to thin, but then I seem to somehow accomplish things.  The last weekend for the play starts tonight.  Thursday @ 7, Fri & Sat @ 8 and Sunday @3!  The details are over at www.atticensemble.org.  I made the Jersey Journal with it too.  That's kinda dope!

Here's a pic from The Jersey Journal

Well it doesn't stop there, I leave for Chattanooga TN, on Tuesday for the SETC's (South Eastern Theatre Conference) where I get to audition for over 200 professional theatre companies at once in hopes to book employment acting and singing for the summer!  I am sooo excited.  I'm getting my outfits together for the trip and I hope I can make at least one post while I'm there, but I'm going to take a bunch of picture's and definitely give the blog an update when I get back.

I got these Asos panel leggings while there were on sale in December and I love them!  I rocked them with this Metallic sweater by American Rag that I've had my eye on for a while on over at  www.Macys.com.  I'm happy to say I did not pay full price for either item and that the weather has been so crazy lately that I wore this with a light jacket and it was all good.  I matched it with my favorite combat boots that have turned out to be my go to item this season, especially with all the walking I do and Wah-la~!  I think I achieved that sexy, easy, comfort feeling that I love so much!

I'm taking this outfit or some version of it to Tennessee as well!

Lately: DO u like my nails???

Lately I've be dabbling in these funky nail decals!  I do love getting my nails done, but I don't always have the time or money.  I'm also don't do such a hot job of painting my nails myself.  So I've been wanting to try some of those nail decals out and in the past month or so I have experimented with 3 different kinds by Sally Henson from Walgreens!  My first attempt wasn't the best, but by now I'm like a pro!  Now I can do nails.  Now I can have funky, cool, fresh designs without having to dish out money I don't have.  You may have seen some of these nails in some of the recent post, but this post is all about them.

This was the first attempt!

Here was the second time around.  By now I got the hang of it!

By this time around I was a pro!  This is the one I was rocking up until opening night of my play.  I had to take it off for the production because it didn't go with the time period or character.  By this attempt I had many compliments, asking me where do I get my nails done and after letting my NOT so Secret, secret out.  Some of my friends and classmates have come up to me showing me they too have tried out the decals!  Hey it's better than Press-on's!

OOTD: ASOS

On Saturday the 18th, I finally got to wear two items from my favorite online store, Asos.  I had this black dress for a while and as far as the skirt I bought it when it went on sale during it's winter clearance. (both items are gone now)

My school was holding the NATS competition. (National Association of Teacher's Singing)    I was entered into the Musical Theatre Competition and I had the opportunity to change into a different outfit so I was like ok cool!  I bought the two outfits and at first I was like 4get it I'm not gonna change, everyone sounded sooo good and the day was getting longer and longer.  Especially considering I woke up at 7:00am, which is NOT a common thing over at mi casa!  But my darling, darling friend and fellow singer, Liam persuaded me to change.  He said, "if not for the competition than for Whitney!"  (LOL we are so crazy, we had to do the competition but wanted to go to NEWARK for the funeral)  So we did and headed over to the auditorium waiting for the results of the competition.  The first place winner's of each division had to be ready to sing right then and there.  And after waiting all day I was in complete total shock when they announced my name and that I won the Musical Theatre Division!!!  (I also never ran in heels before either and ran all the way up to the podium to receive my award.)  Talk about cloud 9!

It wasn't until this year that they even offered the Musical Theatre division.  So I'm kinda like the first to win it ever!!!  That's really cool!  I'm real grateful and figured I share it on my blog, along with some pics of the day!

NOW THE WINNING LOOK~~~!

I Kinda feel un-creative for wearing outfit#2 the same way it was online, but I had both pieces at different times and wanted to make something work!  Hope its not corny, there will be other ways to style this in the near future!

Comfy and Casual!

I like casual!  I like to be comfortable!  Especially at school.  So when I saw these limited addition sweatshirts from Old Navy I thought, "CUTE!".  And it's purple.  That's my favorite color.  I love it!  Its so cute I geeked the look up a bit!  Paired it with my favorite Jeans from Ashley Stewart (I really need to go back to Ashley Stewart) and these comfy loafers I scored from Payless in late fall for like $9.99 and this is what u get.  Comfort!  It was such a nice day when I took these pics that I said lets go outside, No coat or anything.  I was really happy how it turned out!

PS:  May Whitney Houston R.I.P. remember her 4 her greatness.  It's really sad how people are trying to taint her name!  Her talent was what made her famous, not her bad habits.  People go through public struggles are even more special and more resilient, for they help all of us by allowing it to come to the forefront and talk about it.

Just THANK YOU Whitney, for teaching millions of us how to sing.

OOTD! Stripes!

I love, love, love stripes!  Honestly, truly do!  I have worn many of outfits that included stripes on this blog!

This outfit is no different.  It's very simple but what brings it to life and gives  it a little something extra is the striped shirt.  It's a very old shirt from Lane Bryant, about 4 years old and I hardly ever wear it.  But over the weekend I decided to bring it out, it just felt right!  And something about these diagonal stripes that makes this outfit look even more slimming.  Not only that but the Jamaican inspired colors on the shirt gives a very predominantly black outfit POP!  I have other plans for this shirt in the future that I hope will also work out.

The bag in this pic is DKNY and absolutely lovely!  Also, another oldie but goodie!

Did u enjoy the Super Bowl?

I loved Madonna's performance!  I hope everyone's Monday gets off to a great start!
